We have competed in long distance events including the Man V Horse which is ridden through the Welsh hills and designed to test both horse and rider. Quarter Horses unflappable temperament, smooth paces and responsiveness to the slightest of aids, has made for some great rides. Recently we have been taking a couple of the mares to the local stables and allowing friends to have a go with western riding. This always creates a great crowd of watchers and the comments are always complementary on how calm and easy to control the horses are.
