When it comes to breeding, the quality of the mare is just as important as the stallion. We are very careful when it comes to purchasing a broodmare; not only do the breed lines have to compliment the stallions, they have to be packed with proven performers too. We have spent many years importing from the USA and have had countless trips back and forth to view horses. We now have a band of mares which are producing consistent quality foals year on year.  Many of our mares have a high percentage of foundation breeding (minimal Thoroughbred), but to us the real importance is in their conformation, mind and movement. These qualities, together with our stallions, are passed onto their offspring. We do not breed to every mare every year as we also love to ride. When you have a field full of quality horses and a stud in the middle of a National Park, it's hard to resist!
